Auditions for Shakespeare’s early comedy, Love’s Labour’s Lost, will be and Sunday, August 7th
and Monday, August 8th at 7pm at Trinity-On-Main (69Main St, New Britain, CT 06051 – Across the
street from Hole in the Wall Theater) If callbacks are required, actors will be notified by email, and
they will be held Thursday, August 11th at 7pm at Trinity-On-Main.
It’s recommended for monologues to be prepared ahead of time, but pre-selected monologues
will be available for those who haven’t prepared their own.
Auditions will consist of warm ups, monologues, and reading sides from the show. Callbacks will
be at the discretion of the director and will be by appointment.
Headshots and resumes are appreciated, but not necessary.

OVERVIEW
In Love’s Labor’s Lost, the comedy centers on four young men who fall in love against their wills.
The men, one of them the king of Navarre, pledge to study for three years, avoiding all contact
with women. When the Princess of France arrives on a state visit, the king insists she and her
ladies camp outside the court. Even so, each young man falls in love with one of the ladies.
Meanwhile, Don Armado, a Spanish soldier, falls for a servant girl, Jacquenetta.
