Auditions for She Kills Monsters Start Soon!

Hello Hole in The Wall Friends and Family!

The New Year is upon us and 2022 is looking to become quite the year for our favorite theater. Not only is it our 50th year in New Britain, but we have all sorts shows waiting in the wings to start up. With Heartless now under way (Pay What You Can Weekend starting January 21st), and The Trouble With Space Cannibals getting ready to bring the laughs at the end of February, you’re probably wondering, “What can I do to get in on a future show?” We’re so glad you asked!

On Monday, January 31st, Friday, February 4th, and Saturday, February 5th, we are holding auditions for She Kills Monsters by Qui Nguyen!

Directed by Terrance J. Peters, and produced by Tim Adams and Shawna Pelletier, She Kills Monsters is about Agnes Evans and her own quest into learning about her late sister’s favorite game, Dungeons & Dragons. With the help of her sister’s notebook and a grunge loving Dungeon Master, Agnes enters a world of swear spewing fairies, succubus cheerleaders, and an overlord who’d rather watch TV as she brings out the inner nerd in all of us!

Early registration for the show auditions can be found here. Those auditioning will be required to list any prior acting experience. Resumes and headshots are welcome, but not required. Those chosen as part of the cast will be required to have a reliable source of transportation, attendance to at least one general meeting and one build of the set. We also wish for you to attend at least one performance of The Trouble With Space Cannibals.

Those auditioning are recommended to wear something comfortable and be prepared for basic physical improv. Also highly recommended is to prepare a short monologue. Script reads from the show itself will be prepared as well.

Full details and other requirements can be found here at HITW’s Facebook event. A full character breakdown is available as well. Proof of full COVID vaccination or a negative test is required!

We can’t wait to embrace all the nerdy fun that is sure to happen with this show, so roll a perfect 20 and we’ll see you on the stage!
