Open Mic Nights at Hole in The Wall

We provide the stage, a mic and a piano: you provide the entertainment! Serenade us with a song, read us your poetry, test out that new stand up routine, or blow our minds with a magic trick. Whether you’re a HITW regular, or brand new to our theater, all are welcome to attend as either audience or performers!

Our Open Mics are traditionally held on the last Wednesday of every month. Performer sign-ups begin at 7:00PM and are first come, first serve. Each performer will be given an 8 minute slot, up to a total of 13 people.

Admission is $5 and concessions will also be available for purchase. Free parking is available in the Chestnut Street Garage. Hole in the Wall Theater is also BYOB friendly.

The CT Muslim Artists Showcase

We are thrilled to present a special evening featuring Muslim poets, musicians, comedians, dancers, speakers, and artists of all kinds at Hole in the Wall Theater.

Islam in America is not a monolith! We represent many different ethnicities and cultures, across immigration status and generational divides. We are queer, we are whitebrownblack, we are rich, we are poor…

We want to feature the diverse experience of contemporary Muslims in the Nutmeg State through ART, while also celebrating our talents as a community.

All proceeds will be split between the Theater and a Muslim-focused organization/charity TBA.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased in advance online.

**NOTE: your work does not need to focus on your experience as a Muslim-identifying person in America. You can be of the faith or non-practicing. Your work can be about whatever you want – love, justice, money, etc – as long as you identify as Muslim or of a Muslim background. It is YOUR experience and it is valid and we want it to be heard!
