Love’s Labor Lost

Performances run October 7th through October 22nd

In one of his early comedies, Shakespeare questions what’s most important: one’s heart or one’s head. When the Princess of France and her ladies-in-waiting come to Navarre on business from her father, they are turned away at the gates. For three years the men of Navarre have sworn off all the luxuries of the world— including women—deciding instead to focus on academic and philosophical pursuits. When the men fall for the women, they must make a choice: lose an oath to find themselves or lose themselves to keep their oath? And even if they do foreswear their oaths, will their women accept them?
