LINT The Musical’s Meghan Rickard describes herself, as “one of those kids that wouldn’t shut up.” She was always looking for something to do and a place where she could express herself. She found what she was looking for when she joined her middle school theater program. She fell in love with this year round activity. “It just became my thing,” said Meghan.

Meghan has been making people laugh as “Jill” in Hole in the Wall’s LINT! “Jill is a community college student with big dreams,” she said. “She wants to be an actress. She is currently studying Shakespeare but she doesn’t really understand Shakespeare. The audience usually asks themselves ‘How did you get into college?’ She is lovable though.”

This role is a complete 180 for Meghan, who last appeared on the HITW stage in The Crucible and Independence. “I love musicals and plays. I can’t choose which I like more. “

Meghan is a community theatre veteran. She worked at Landmark Community Theatre, Cheshire Community Theatre, Repertory Theatre of New Britain, Trinity-on-Main and Castle Craig Players. “For me, acting is a break from my life. I get to be someone very different. It is like yoga. It is very therapeutic.”

Come see Meghan and the rest of the cast in LINT! Performances run Fridays & Saturdays from January 22nd through February 13th at 8:00pm with one Sunday matinee on January 31st at 2:00pm. Tickets are $25.00 (General Admission) and $20.00 (students & seniors). They can be purchased at the door and online at www.hitw.org.
