MEET THE ACTOR: STILL LIFE WITH IRIS’S PEYTON STEHLE

Hole in the Wall’s newest production, Still Life With Iris, is a fantastical adventure that centers on a little girl’s search for the simplest of things: home. In this installment of Meet the Actor, we meet Peyton Stehle, the young actress who brings this special role to life in a quick Q&A.

Who is your character: Iris

Describe Iris: She is imaginative and curious. She wants to find her home.

How is the cast?: The cast is great. They are really fun to work with. They are funny.

Describe Tony Palmieri(the director): He is very caring and outgoing.

When did you start performing?: I starting doing talent shows when I was very little.

How old are you now?: 11 years old

Where are you from?: Plainville

Hobbies: Softball, Volleyball, Girl Scouts, Chorus, and volunteering with my school’s youth service organization, Kids in the Middle.

Siblings: One sister

What grade are you in?: 6th Grade

In your opinion, what is the message of Still Life With Iris?: Hold on to your life. Love and cherish your family. Always understand the importance of them being there and what they are doing for you.

Memorizing Lines – Easy or Hard?: Hard

Rehearsal process that has surprised you the most: The first week. You are getting used to your lines. You don’t know the cast yet. It’s surprising to see how the cast is going to be both on stage and off.

Come see Peyton and the rest of the cast in Still Life With Iris. Performances run Fridays & Saturdays, March 25th through April 16th at 8:00pm with two Sunday matinees on April 3rd & 10th at 2:00pm. Tickets are $20.00 (General Admission), $15.00 (students & seniors) and free for children, age twelve and under, thanks to a grant from the Long Foundation.
