Hello, Hole in the Wall Family!
The weather’s getting colder as we enter the season of ghosts and ghouls here at Hole in the Wall Theater. So, keep reading to find out what kind of scary good stage frights we have in store for you.
First off, there are two weekends left of the first show in our new season, The Haunting of Hill House! Director John R. Bosco brings F. Andrew Leslie’s adaptation of Shirley Jackson’s classic horror yarn to life as we follow four paranormal investigators looking for proof of eerie happenings. Things take a turn when one of them gets a little too close to whatever roams the halls in the dead of night. Tickets are still available, so get them now. Be sure to check out an exclusive interview with the cast as they shed a little light on this dark tale. Come for a scare, if you dare! The remaining shows are October 11th, 12th, 18th, and 19th (all at 8pm).
With the new season underway, be sure to keep an ear out for news of our next production, It’s a Wonderful Life: The Radio Drama. That’s right, we go from Halloween straight into Christmas with Tony Palermo’s adaptation of the classic Christmas tale of George Bailey’s visit to a world without him, and the lessons it brings. Directed by Thom Ozimek, the radio show will “go on the air” starting November 22nd. Get those tickets now!
Between our main shows, we do have some Halloween radio shows to keep the spooky season on track. On October 25th and 26th, Herstory Theater will come to Hole in the Wall for a pair of stories sure to bring the chills called Hitchcock and Horror! The first story is an adaptation of Alfred Hitchcock’s The 39 Steps, while the second is an all new original radio play called To the Dogs, written by Herstory Theater member, HITW favorite, and writer of shows such as Lint: The Musical and School for Manners, Bill Arnold! Tickets are available now, so don’t miss a chance for some good scares with fellow theater friends!
We’re always looking for more people to join our theater family, so don’t be scared (especially this time of year) to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. Our Facebook info group is always posting opportunities to work concessions, which can allow you to see the production for free! Be sure to check out the rest of the website as well for what’s in store for the future! We’ve got more shows and showcases coming up this season, including Theresa Rebek’s Mauritius, a collaboration with Backyard Theater Ensemble directed by HITW President, Ryan Wantroba!
Another opportunity to be part of the theatrical happenings here is also on the horizon with The Women’s Fabulous Fall Festival! Hosted by HITW’s Laurie Cabral, HITW is looking for any women dancers, writers, poets, directors, etc. for a night of art and entertainment! If you want in, just contact Laurie Maria Cabral at LCabral909@aol.com, and put “FALL” in the subject line.
We look forward to all the frights and delights of October as the nights get longer and we head toward the end of the year. We hope to see you on the stage! Thank you!
