The End of the Summer at HITW!!!

Hello, Hole in the Wall Family!

First up, it’s the beginning of our 2019-2020 season! We are ringing in the new season as well as the Fall season with F. Andrew Leslies adaptation of Shirley Jackson’s The Haunting of Hill House! Based on the classic tale of terror, we welcome four paranormal investigators looking for what possibly prowls the supposedly haunted home. Little do they know, the specters have already found them, and may not let them go! Directed by HITW board member (and newsletter author), John R. Bosco, we are proud to start the season with a scary show with a cast ready to make you jump in your seats. Tickets are available now on hitw.org for $20 ($15 for students/seniors)! The show goes up on September 27th and runs for four weekends, so come join us, if you dare!

With the beginning of one show comes the prep for the next. On September 29th and 30th, Hole in the Wall will be holding auditions for Tony Palermo’s It’s a Wonderful Life: The Radio Drama. We go from Halloween to Christmas with director Thom Ozimek’s production of the classic Christmas tale about one man’s quest to see what it would be like if he were never born, and see’s that he’s worth much more to others than he thinks. Everyone is welcome to come and audition (and we do mean EVERYONE). The play will be in the style of an old school radio show, complete with commercials and live sound effects. Hope to see you there.

Before we get our main shows up, we got a couple of showcases to whet the appetite for theater. First up, on September 7th at 8pm, we’ll be presenting our last performance of A Most Remarkable Jackass: An Hour with Mark Twain. A little historical fun as Kit Webb (actor at The Mark Twain House and self-proclaimed “Twain Imposter”) portrays the celebrated author and humorist in a night of stories and excerpts from Twain’s books. Tickets are available for $15 for everybody, so don’t miss your chance to hear from one of America’s best authors.

After Mark Twain makes you laugh, the laughs will continue before the screams of Hill House reach your ears. On September 13th (8pm) and 14th (2pm and 8pm), Hole in the Wall will be presenting The Brother’s Grimm Spectaculathon. Written by Don Zolidis and directed by Maranda Gallo, we welcome you to sit back for a night of fractured fairy tales put together in a fast-paced laughathon. These may be based on childhood favorites, but this show is definitely not geared for kids; you have been warned! Tickets are available now for $20 ($15 for students/seniors), so get them now and get ready to laugh.

We look forward to all the things happening at Hole in the Wall this September. Be sure to check us out on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube and don’t forget to join us at our General Meeting on Wednesday, September 18th at 7pm to find out how you can get involved and meet the rest of the Hole in the Wall Family! AND: head over to our tickets page where you can get a Hole in the Card season pass, as well as find out what else is playing for our 2019-2020 season! Hope to see you there! Thank you!
