Long Day’s Journey Into Night

Long Day’s Journey Into Night

By Eugene O’Neill

Directed by Steven Simpson

July 17th – August 8th

Eugene O’Neill’s pulitzer prize winning play is an autobiographical depiction of his family’s struggles: his mother’s morphine addiction, his father’s stinginess, the mens alcoholism, and his brother’s illness. A day full of bitter quarrels, resentment, and yet an underlying love shows a yearning for both reconciliation as well as an escape to the past.
