Hello, Hole in the Wall family and friends!
December has arrived and the end of 2018 is just around the corner. So, we at Hole in the Wall Theater invite all of you celebrate the New Year and the Holiday season with us as we close out the year. How are we doing that, you might ask? The only way we know how, of course; by entertaining you as part of our audience.
First off, there’s only ONE weekend left of our final show of the year: Henrik Ibsen’s A Doll’s House. This is your last chance to experience the story of Nora, a house wife whose choices haunt her in a time not as accepting as today, yet at the same time, just as unaccepting. Tickets are $20 ($15 for students/seniors with ID) when you come down to the theater. You can still buy them online on our website, www.hitw.org, where tickets are only $17 ($12 for students/seniors with ID). This is the last show of the year, so see it while you still can.
Of course, with endings come new beginnings. We’re already planning our first show of the new year with Jane Martin’s Keely and Du. Directed by Kristen Bennett, this show takes a look at major issues in the present world as we follow Keely, a young woman held captive and forced to confront choices in her present that will have a major impact on her future. The cast has been assembled and can be seen here, so check that out to see who you might recognize. Starting on December 16th at 5pm, we’ll be striking down the set for A Doll’s House to start putting up the new set. All are free to attend; the more hands, the merrier. Work calls will take place on most Fridays at 7pm and Saturdays at 12pm until the show goes up on January 18th.
For the more festive among our theater friends, be sure to stop by on Friday, December 14th, Saturday the 15th at 8pm, or Sunday, the 16th at 2pm for our Holiday Showcase. For $15 (or $10 for seniors/students), we will be entertaining you with a night of carols and stories to fill you with the Holiday spirit. A perfect gift for the whole family from all of us at Hole in the Wall Theater.
If you want to find out more ways to be a part of our growing family and support theater in New Britain, be sure to stop by our general meeting. We meet at 7pm on December 19th. The only cost of admission is for you to step through our doors. Here, you can help put forth any ideas you may have for the new year. Show proposals, showcase ideas, upkeep, publicity, etc. If you want to help, there IS a place for you, so, please, stop on by.
As always, HITW is non-profit and is always on the lookout for anyone willing to help out a little. Any amount donated will go toward making more theater for you.
