Hole in the Wall’s newest production, Still Life With Iris, is a fantastical adventure that centers on a little girl’s search for the simplest of things: home. In this installment of Meet the Actor, we meet Allison Coney, who plays Hazel & Captain Also in the play.

Describe the characters you play? My first character, Hazel, is someone who wants all the attention on her. My other character, Captain Also, lives in a cave She tries to sell garbage to people, She wants to be the leader.

What is Tony Palmieri like as a director? He is fun. He is very nice. He is funny. He’s a very good director.

What have rehearsals been like? They have been fun.  We do things like line bash. We practice our lines without using our books. It’s a lot of fun to get to know the other actors.

When did you start doing theater? 8 years old.

What was your first role? I played an Orphan in Annie.

How old are you? 11 years old.

What grade are you in? 5th Grade.

Hobbies? Sing. Play piano, Draw, I also like to do my own dance moves
