The Summer Continues at HITW!!!

Hello, Hole in the Wall Family!

The sun has been hot this summer, so we at Hole in the Wall Theater are always welcoming to those who seek refuge from the heat and enjoy a night or two of entertainment. We have plenty to offer this August, so keep reading to see what’s up.

First off, our last show of the season, Eric Coble’s Virtual Devotion, will be wrapping up production on August 9th and 10th at 8pm. Don’t miss out on director (and HITW board member) Luis Marrero’s satirical take on religion going mainstream in a world of mystery plagues, get rich quick schemes, and The Miracle of the Pudding (yes, you read that right). It’s your last chance, so don’t miss out and get those tickets online or at the box office before the show starts. At $20 ($15 for students and seniors), it’d be a sin to miss out.

With the end of one season comes the beginning of another. The 2019-2020 season at HITW is kicking off with The Haunting of Hill House! Written by F. Andrew Leslie and adapted from the timeless terror tale by Shirley Jackson, it’s the story of a ragtag group of paranormal researchers experiencing firsthand why nobody dares step foot in the titular manor. Making his directorial debut, board member (and HITW newsletter writer) John R. Bosco has chosen his cast (which can be viewed on this very blog) and will be getting ready to put up the set. Keep an eye on our calendar upcoming build dates if you want to help put together HITW’s very own haunted house.

In between these shows is a plethora of showcases to keep you entertained. First up is our annual Hole in One! In one day starting at 8pm on August 16th and culminating at 8pm on August 17th, a series of short shows will be written, cast, rehearsed, and performed at our humble theater. Think it can’t be done? See for yourself! All are welcome to help out and see how challenging (and yet how fun) putting together a show in record time can be.

For those of you who want a little magic in their night, be sure to stop by at 8pm on August 30th or 31st, or at 2pm on September 1st for Celtic Magic: A Night of Grand Illusion. Featuring the talents of Daniel GreenWolf, be prepared to be amazed at feats of magic and wit you can’t find anywhere else. Tickets are available for $30 ($25 for students and seniors) online now, so get those tickets before the chance does a vanishing act.

Be sure to check out the other amazing events coming soon to Hole in the Wall Theater. If you want to get in on the fun, be sure to stop by our General Meeting, which will be held on August 14th at 7pm. Just walk in and you can vote alongside the rest of the HITW family. You can also take part in our upcoming Open-Mic Night being held on August 28th. Any talent is welcome, as all you need is that and $5 to perform (or just enjoy the night).

The end of one season is only the beginning for us at Hole in the Wall Theater! We hope all of you stop by and enjoy a night (or two) of entertainment put on by folks from all over. Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube to get the latest scoop on what’s coming up and never be afraid to donate on our website! Thank you!
