We are nearing the end of our run of Trevor Griffith’s Comedians, which has only ONE weekend left to go. The story of six would-be stand-up comics reveals a bit of the darker side of laughter and some personal grudges amongst the comedians. Get those tickets while you can at hitw.tix.com. General admission is $20 and $15 for students and seniors.
After Comedians wraps up, we will be moving on to another dark comedy, Theresa Rebeck’s Our House, July 13 – August 4. Telling the dual stories of a dysfunctional group of roommates, and a just as dysfunctional television station, “Our House” gives us a look at how closely intertwined the news and reality TV can be. Make sure to take a look at the cast list.
Our season for 2018-2019 has officially been chosen. That’s right: every single slot for the season has been filled, and we are more than excited to get it started. The complete list of shows is posted up on our blog.
Come test your knowledge and win prizes and come show off your talents the two weekends after Comedians closes! On June 16, we will be having a Trivia Night, hosted by Carmine and Kristen. On June 23, we will be having our monthly Open Mic Night. House opens for the events’ sign ups on their respective dates at 7:30, and the events themselves begin at 8. Admission for the Trivia Night is $10. Admission for performers at the Open Mic is $5, and $10 for audience members.
Our monthly general meeting is once again upon us. It will be held on June 13th at 7pm. Bring your friends, all are welcome, and the cost of membership is just stepping through the door.
