The Road to the 50th!

Hello Hole in The Wall friends and family!

Fall has arrived in New Britain, and our 2020 season has come to an end. But with the end of one, comes the beginning of another, and we are planning ahead for a new year and a new season in 2022!

We are starting down a road to celebrating 50 years of Hole in The Wall Theater entertaining the people of New Britain, CT and beyond. To kick off this celebration, we are holding auditions for the first show of the 2022 season for the Sam Shepard tale of secrets, Heartless.

Directed by Steven Simpson (director of The Glass Menagerie, A Doll’s House, and Waiting for Godot), and produced by Matthew Cote (working on stage and off in shows like The Glass Menagerie, Julius Caesar, and Keeley and Du), the show will be going up on January 14th and will run for three weekends. If you want a chance a being part of the show, check out our cast announcement and/or our Facebook event and find out how.

If you don’t want to wait for January to get on the stage, we have something special for you. On November 5th, HITW Board members Tim Adams and Luis Marrero, better known as More Wolves, will be hosting a very special open mic. Spooky season may be over, but that’s why this night (remember, remember, it’s the 5th of November), HITW is hosting Halloween Never Ends (Guy Fawkes Night Remixxx). It’s pay what you can, so if you got a song, a joke, a magic trick, or just something to amaze your friends, we want to see it! The lobby opens at 6:30 and the stage is yours at 7pm, so check out our FB event to get the details!

Our next general meeting (in person!) will be on November 10th at 7pm, so if you want to come by and find out how to get involved, sign up for concessions, find out about auditions, or even get involved in our next show, stop on by. Our doors are always open for new friends.

The year is winding down, but we still got plans. Be sure to keep an ear out for the return of another favorite duo of ours, WryBred, doing another night of laughs with us.

Don’t forget to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Subscribe to our YouTube channel and check out past trailers and even past shows like Darths and Droids and Final Arrangements. 50 years is a long path that our theater has taken, and no matter when you joined us on it, we’re just glad you did. So, stay safe and we’ll see you on the stage!
